DiEM25 - Democracy in Europe Movement 2025. We come from every part of Europe and are united by different cultures, languages, accents, political party affiliations, ideologies, skin colours, gender identities, faiths and conceptions of the good society. We come together as committed Europeans determined to prevent a clueless EU establishment, which is deeply contemptuous of democracy, from rendering a democratic European union impossible. We call on our fellow Europeans to join us forthwith to create DiEM25 and to fight together to democratise the European Union; to end the reduction of all political relations into relations of power masquerading as merely technical decisions; and to re-politicise the rules that govern our single market and common currency. This is our media playground, away from the mass media dictatorship. This is our stage, your home, ours news stand.

In the face of Europe’s political turmoil, marked by the rise of the right and a glaring neglect for our planet, DiEM25’s Frankfurt gathering, “How To Get Our Future Back,” was a beacon of hope. Organised in conjunction with MERA25, our German political party, this event brought together brilliant thinkers like Yanis Varoufakis, our leading candidate for the EU elections in Germany, Karin de Rigo, German economist Helge Peukert, among others, to confront the crises of economic instability, militarisation, and climate inaction head-on.

This wasn’t just a meeting; it was a battle cry for mobilisation. We delved into the issues at our continent’s heart, charting a course for a fairer, truly greener Europe. The day sparked a fire for change, setting the stage for a Europe united by justice, resistance, and collective action.
