PlayStation 5 PULSE 3D Wireless Headset issue where speakers are set to 0 yet there is still sound outputting to the headset

Hello,

I have spent about 3 and a half hours troubelshooting this rather odd issue related with the PlayStation 5 PULSE 3D Wireless Headset.

I have done extensive searching online for this issue and found nothing even remotely close to this issue.

I have tested this on my main PC running Windows 10 and a seperate laptop and both have the exact same issue.

I have tried doing a reset using the pin in the usb receiver and the issue still persists following the guidance in the manual.

The issue is that when using the PlayStation 5 PULSE 3D Wireless Headset on a PC/laptop the audio in windows 10 doesn’t work correctly. Muting and turning the audio to 0 the headphones still play audio and sound. On my PC I even tried to reinstall the audio driver and came across the same issue once I reinstalled the audio drivers. Although using the volume mixer has various different results and works a little.

I have a hunch that this is an issue with the actual driver and the way the usb receiver works on Windows 10.

Does anyone at all have any guidance on what I could try to fix this issue? Or perhaps can point me in the correct direction on where I can get the correct help for this issue? I have never come across an issue like this one where the audio will still play even when the audio is set to mute and 0.

Thank you
