Subspace Radio episode 42: Lessons in Leadership (LD 4×03 In the Cradle of Vexilon) (www.subspace.fm)

Rob & Kev planned to turn this entire episode over to a friendly computer super-intelligence, but it was down for a software update, so they recorded their thoughts on “In the Cradle of Vexilon” all by themselves. They also explored other lessons in leadership from Star Treks past, including “The Galileo Seven” (TOS),...

Subspace Radio #39: Camp Trek (SNW 2×09 Subspace Rhapsody) (www.subspace.fm)

Kev & Rob agree that “Subspace Rhapsody” had its charms, but didn’t quite live up to the hype, and that “Bride of Chaotica!” (VOY) is the last time going over the top into silliness was the point of an episode. Finally, as a bonus, Rob re-watched Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and was surprised by how much he...

(meta) Does anyone whose lemmy account is here notice missing comments/votes/etc on posts from other instances?

I prefer to use this instance as my primary, but I’ve noticed a lot of missing comments/votes/etc on posts from other instances. I’ll switch between this account and one on lemmy.world or Lemm.ee and notice that I’m not seeing all the activity. Does anyone know why?...

The horrible morals of a show supposed to teach them

I’ve been watching the various Star Trek shows for a while now, and while not finished I saw most of them, I believe. And I cannot shake off the feeling that the messages given by these shows, especially (and almost exclusively) recent ones are pushing horrible morals that most people seem to not care about....

Subspace Radio Episode #40: Zero G (SNW 2×10 Hegemony) (www.subspace.fm)

Rob & Kev float through the highlights of the season two finale of Strange New Worlds, “Hegemony”, before seeking out other instances of our characters floating in zero gravity, including “Star Trek: First Contact”, “Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country”, and the Enterprise NX-01’s “sweet spot”.

I don't think Seska had anything to do with ending of Worst Case scenario (Voyager S3E25).

I think this episode is part one of the holonovel followed by the second part during the second half. The only break we take from seeing the holonovel be played is when they tell captain Janeway (where she implies that she has to be made to look good) about the first half and when Tom and Tuvok are in the mess hall being hassled...

Una Timeline Implications

I'm curious to see how the show approaches the timeline implications of Una staying on the ship instead of getting locked up in a penal colony. I hope they throw in some tidbits about it, preferably as a running gag. For example, she ends up doing another enterprise bingo that Kirk admires or something. Maybe an episode where...
