Accounts which solely post advertisements, or persistently post them may be terminated.

I know many admins have been combating it all night to keep it out of your timeline. Might not be a bad idea to set the filter up while #MastoAdmin's combat the problems. paul OP , 6 months ago That tag is up to 4700 spam messages just since I posted this 25 minutes ago. I edited the hashtag in the admin section, and I found other tags being used. Thanks to @trendless for reminding me I can do more than just not let tags trend.

ajn142 , 6 months ago @paul @trendless @academicchatter highly recommend this to cut out the spam that’s going round. Note that if you hide completely, you won’t be able to see the post above either, making it hard to share with others.

paul OP , 6 months ago @ajn142 @trendless @academicchatter Thanks for the replies. Off topic, I rarely hide anything completely since people use multiple hashtags. A warning doesn't take up too much space. LOL
