@YoSoyFreeman using AC is a short term solution. An AC generates more heat long term. It essentially just moves the heat elsewhere and consumes power that generates more heat. From July 20 to 23 were the hottest days ever according to various sources. This is not "bullshit", it's a serious problem. Not only is the heat fatiguing for people living in these areas, it also affects wildlife. We didn't used to have crickets or big bugs where I live

@Haijo7 @YoSoyFreeman using A/C is a short term solution assuming you can afford it. But I guess they're not even thinking about that.

@cmdrDiscoCat @Haijo7 @YoSoyFreeman Precisely. It makes an existing problem worse. Insignificantly for one person, but if everything was just "one person" we'd have less problems.

I was also recently "recommended" by my colleagues to get an AC. In this house, I could only get one of those inefficient combo units. ~700W which is inexcusable.

Absolutely agree. And a knife to the planet if used at large scales, as in the solution for global warming...

For a Spaniard like me, which has grown in the country of perfect climate, this is an horror movie.

Bird just smash against the floor and buildings because of the hot. Constantly.

It is not normal.
