@microblogc@DamienMarieAtHope I did not mean to suggest they were saints ;). But there was a key difference. The Catholic concept is that every person is open to salvation and has a soul that can be "potentially saved". Calvinists, especially the extreme ones that normalize genocide, believe only a special pre-chosen "elect" are saved by grace alone, and ultimately all others can be treated as damned soulless subhuman animals, lesser than them, and can be freely killed as desired.
