@DamienMarieAtHope as awful as the conquistadors were in Latin America, and even though they started much earlier, too, there are many millions of native peoples alive there today. Some countries even have had indigenous led governments in recent times, if only far too briefly, too. Far fewer survived the Calvinist inspired genocide here in North America.
