This should be the last day of "isolation" due to the COVID. According to the CDC guidelines, if I don't have a fever after 5 days, I'm good to go. And I don't think I've had a fever yet, just a stuffy nose, some achyness, and general tiredness. Feeling about 90% today. I had to, of course, skip hockey but I am already looking forward to getting back on the ice on Friday. To be honest, my balky knee is probably very happy to miss a session.
Finished reading one of the most harrowing chapters ever written. Near the end of the monumental The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich by William L. Shirer & the chapter "A New Order", where he touches upon only some of the horrific deeds perpetrated by these monsters, from slaughters of entire villages to gruesome experiments. It will give me nightmares, but I felt like I needed to do it. And despite the hangings, so many still escaped justice that it made me want to scream. #books@bookstodon
