Those who made it to HDB without uploading, how'd you do it?

I have a few prominent tracker accounts that are 10+ years old so I’ve been around a minute. When I see recruitment threads for HDB it’s always required to have (for example) 500 uploads. That’s my downfall unfortunately. I have a 2Gb up/down fiber connection and a server so I seed like crazy. I’m just older (as you could probably guess) so I don’t have much time outside of family/work to focus on that side.

So that makes me curious, what path got you in outside of being an uploader/encoder?

I got in through being the highest rank on A-HD a long time ago, and I don’t think it required any uploads. I don’t even know where HDB recruits from anymore if at all, but members get a ton of invites so a connection would probably be the easiest way. HDB’s content is good but if you have PTP+BTN already you aren’t missing anything. I really wouldn’t worry about it.

Thanks for the reply. I do have PTP and it’s one of my longest standing accounts. I was in AHD also back in the day before it went down! PTP was my example for their recruiting requirement of 500 uploads (Torrent Kng). Even with my 20TB up and a fraction of that down it’s rough out there. I’m sure I’ve had chances to get in years ago when recruiting was more prominent but at the time I had what I needed and didn’t just ‘collect’ trackers. I’ll hope for some dumb luck meeting someone.
