Easy they did torrent cause they know that model will be popular and many people will try to download it based on model size im not surprised they decided to go with torrent.
Pardon my ignorance but is this something I can just download and use immediately, or do you have to open it in something special and monkey with it to get it to work?

How is that a bad thing, when the EU was also in the process of releasing new regulations that would have made any open source effort unviable by forcing liability?
