That’s an Ad.

I dunno man, seems like that’s how it should work. I’m actually kinda surprised it isn’t. I never noticed it.

You never noticed that holding opposite directions results in no movement? Or just didn’t think of the latency implications of that?

I mean, games could just be coded to work this way. Only accepting one directional input (or a diagonal with two keys) at a time.

This is essentially working around how games are made to work, in that pressing two opposite directions results in no movement. Standing still that way in fact becomes impossible when using a keyboard that works this way.

As mentioned in the video, this has been a thing in CS and TF2 simply by scripting it into the game.

I’m frankly a little annoyed that this is getting turned into a “gamer” hardware speciality feature, rather than just a setting in the game the way toggle/hold ADS is, and therefore available to everyone.

Nope, I just kinda automatically got into the habit of releasing one key when pressing the other. I never really paid attention to it, but I’m almost certain some games allow it.

Something someone in the comments pointed out btw, is that you could probably get a similar result by binding “left strafe” to “a” and then “right strafe” to “shift+a”.
