I’m also a little non-plussed by the idea that this is, or needs to be, the ‘final’ Beatles song. In fact, there’s scads of material they worked up while still an official group that they decided not to finish up or release. I’ve no doubt some of it’s equal to or better than this John Lennon demo from the late 70’s, which I certainly wouldn’t say is on the level of Free as a Bird nor Real Love.
