There have been multiple accounts created with the sole purpose of posting advertisement posts or replies containing unsolicited advertising.

Accounts which solely post advertisements, or persistently post them may be terminated.

If you want a service on your terms, you have to host it yourself. Google has to deal with liability and privacy and the fact that they would be the single biggest attack vector for anyone’s online life of compromised.

There are so many sketchy and anti-consumer things that Google is doing. This is not one of them.
