i’d rather stay out of that shit and don’t risk losing contact with friends and family because they had a different opinion.

This is a very Western-privileged position that Palestinians do not have.

The fact is that Israel is a occupying force in Palestinian land. If someone doesn’t want to educate people about that and fight for Palestinian rights then they are just a coward who is accessory to murder and to imperialism. That is a fact, no matter how someone wants to spin it.
