The universe bends around the Earth (which again, is a Giant Magical Space Rug) and therefore the Earth only needs to move at a constant speed. Gravity is simply the illusion caused by special relativity. An apple doesn’t fall off the tree, it simply teleports through a wormhole at 0.0098 m per milisecond.
