There is chemical addiction and there is psychological addiction. Weed might not be chemically addictive but it can sure be psychologically addictive which is true with most stoners.
Dude, coffee and tea are loaded with this incredible compound called caffeine. It’s like a chemical wizard that messes with your brain in two ways: chemically and mentally. Chemically, caffeine hooks onto these receptors in your brain, blocking this chill neurotransmitter called adenosine. So instead of feeling relaxed and sleepy, you’re all pumped up and alert.
But that’s not all, man. When you consume caffeine regularly, your body becomes physically dependent on it. So, if you suddenly stop guzzling that liquid goodness, you’re gonna feel some withdrawal symptoms like headaches, fatigue, and even crankiness. It’s like your body is saying, “Hey, where’s my daily dose of that buzz?”
And let’s not forget about the mental game. Coffee and tea can be habit-forming, creating this psychological attachment. You know, that warm mug, that familiar taste, it becomes a part of your routine, man. Plus, the stimulating effects of caffeine can make you crave that buzz, that laser-focused state of mind.
So, there you have it, bro. Coffee and tea aren’t just about flavor and ritual; they mess with your brain chemistry and play tricks on your mind. It’s like a wild ride, all packed into a cup.
Taking out loans via defi scripts and getting automatically liquidated is definitely a thing yes. Sometimes, they even get liquidated by bugs in said scripts. Remember though, it’s all crypto funny money involved usually with people who got in before it got manipulated to hell.
I was 21 in 2008, and I’d been a fan of Ctrl Alt Del since near it’s beginning. I was a huge web comic fan in general, and I got intensely emotionally invested in them, even the silly ones.
This strip hit me exactly as he intended it to. It resonated with me I guess because of my brother and sister in law going through a miscarriage shortly before. Either way, it had a powerful impact on me and I didn’t see this “tonal shift” as a problem. That’s kinda dumb if you ask me, lots and lots of comedies have serious moments.
Anyway, I didn’t know this meme until a few years ago and it always makes me sad. It’s dumb, I know.
I’m super sensitive to negativity, which is why I was always a lurker in reddit, I always got shat on whenever I shared anything, to the point that I’d just delete my account and hide from the internet for a while.
Tbh, the “tonal shift” had been happening for a long time. This was not out of the blue at all. It was only unexpected for the “A comic must and can only be funny” crowd.
Everything is art if you think about it enough and make it sound pretentious.
This image is a sly commentary on the current technology trends juxtaposed with memes of the past. Showing how technology can breathe new life into outdated trends or some shit.
Hey, I know it’s been a while, but I just wanted to say that this meme wasn’t about attention whoring. I made this meme for showing that dopamine release you get when you get a notification from someone because you know it’s probably gonna be a pleasant conversation talking with them on Lemmy. I made this meme because everyone was talking about how nice everyone is on Lemmy at that time so I though this would show it.
Sorry about that misunderstanding, I know my choice of meme template was not a good idea because it can confuse people.
