I know, I know, it is just a silly meme, but still, Marx spent an immense amount of time and thought to explain that equality is not only not the goal of communism, but impossible in principle.
It’s about coordinating our socially necessary labour and recourses rationally - in a way, that each person can have the maximum possible amount of freedom, time and resources to develop their own humanity. Basically, using the immense production potential capitalism created in a way that time and energy used up in labour is reduced, overproduction and waste is avoided and the division that came with class society (where slaves are needed for one class to have leisure and time to develop their thoughts) is overcome.
Just some nitpick, basically, communism is already about sharing with filters, equality does not really exist.
Those are probably just newbies. My Reddit account is about 12 years old, and Lemmy right now reminds me of the good days of Reddit. It’s ramping up that way.

People who are arguing that one way of expressing these concepts is easier to learn/understand than the other are missing the whole point. Mathematical notation was not designed to teach students how to do math or explain how to design algorithms. It was invented to communicate precise, abstract ideas concisely between mathematicians who already understand what the symbols mean.
Mathematicians require a notation that has the flexibility to manipulate mathematical objects/symbols in a way that naturally emphasizes their properties and relationships. Often they don’t even care whether the objects they’re studying are even computable or have a numerical representation. They just need them to have certain properties so that they can be manipulated appropriately.
Discrete sums are a rare example of when the mathematical notation overlaps with the description of an algorithm for computing its value (and the overlap is not even complete; infinite sums are easily represented in math notation but are practically uncomputable when implemented naively). Every other advanced mathematical concept puts a premium on ease of symbol manipulation over computability: integrals, derivatives, matrix multiplication, abstract algebra, etc.
TL;DR math notation is complex because its intended audience is people who already understand it, want maximum flexibility of symbol manipulation, and historically didn’t really care about practical computation.
And now let’s look at our time units… leap years, leap second. A month has 28, 29, 30 or 31 days. A day has 2*12 hours. An hour has 60 minutes or 3600 seconds (Babylonian mathematics :) )
in North Africa they had 50 °C at the fucking sea. All the “you keep the southern African climate migrants in check for us” agreements the EU made, will not be worth much soon, when the people from Tunesia, Morocco and Algeria have to flee themselves from the heat.
This metaphor works very well with these two pictures. In the upper picture the more senior cattle are projecting the new and young. And in the picture below even they don’t even stand a chance alone.
I can only hope that this is trollbait. No sane parent would purposely ruin their children’s body (yes, it can be removed, but to do so you have to do a whole thing). On another note: what the heck’s wrong with having Zelda tattoos? I’ve seen the triforce tattoo on more than a few people. It looks cool.
