I remember buying this on day one. I took it home and downloaded the patch I think directly from the publishers. By default, you were running over zombies that had green blood. The patch put the normal red-blooded humans back in. In Germany, I think all the pedestrians were replaced by robots.
I’ll never forget the old grannies and their Zimmer frames, “I was in the war!” I loved searching the map for the bonus that turned your vehicle to stone and then hunting down that bastard-armoured APC police tank! One of my favourite vehicles as it was so tough.
The cherry on the cake was when the 3Dfx patch arrived! Lovely stuff.
