I have read recently that google/youtube/alphabet is closing accounts and banning users that use add-ons, apps, and other web services to get around their infrastructure of forcing ads into my life.

No. Piped doesn’t even allow signing into your YouTube account. Google can ban the entire site but it can’t ban anonymous users.
