I distinctly remember reading this in first grade because my teacher did this thing where you had to read to her for her to judge your reading capabilities, and I started to read aloud the part where he talks about his not being invisible and I was embarrassed to read that out loud lol

It’s been 20 years or so for me. But I recall that they are not . Because they are invisible they are renamed to be !!

Yeah this was 100% required reading in my language arts class growing up. He starts a relationship with a blind woman too.
