If anyone here plays Curse of Aros, is the wiki correct when it says that skeletal bats and snakes drop cursed staves?

I’ve been trying on and off for the past few months but it seems like they don’t actually drop them. I’ve fought so many of them that I’ve already gotten at least three skeletal bat pet drops, which is supposed to be rarer than cursed staves. I had a similar issue with ice staves where the wiki stated that snow bats drop them but they never did for me and I had to get one from snowmen, which the wiki states doesn’t drop them.
