traveler01 , in Opinion - What are your thoughts on password managers? Do you use one? Would you recommend it to others?

Been using Bitwarden for years, previously used browser’s password managers.

I use enpass and maybe I didn’t search hard enough but I didn’t see anyone here mention it. I for the most part use it for 2fa, and because it syncs to my own cloud storage account, does anyone have bad experiences with enpass?

I use 1Password. Love it so far! it’s been a smooth experience and it is cross platform.

I use one on desktop. For me as pong as the passwords are stored locally or at least end to end encrypted if stored online, then its secure enough. Assuming that the master password is secure.

I use SafeInCloud, compatible with all the operaring systems I use and I only had to pay a one time fee of 5 dollars (if I remember correctly).

narukamiyu ,

This is what I use too lol. First password manager I found over 10 years ago and it’s never let me down. Very unpopular password manager tho.

LemmyRefugee ,

Yes. In my family we all use that, and even had a 1Password import tool.
But it makes me nervous why almost nobody use this app.

I use bitwarden, and have a random password for every account. Moreso I also have a random email for each service I sign up for, using Cloudflare email routes.

It gives me the peace of mind that when one account is compromised I just reset the password, in case of spam: change the email address, and continue on with my day.

For work I use KeePass and 1password, but I do prefer Bitwarden due to its price. 1Password is more feature rich with it’s types of credentials you can store, however. It’s a nice-to-have that I can store TOTP as well and that I can share passwords with my partner

Maheswara , in did chrome change how you install pwas?

Open wefwef.app on chrome & click on vertical line(3dots) on top right corner… You can see install option, select and tap on install. That’s all.

gti_up , in Best Lemmy client for Android?

I tried Connect but had issues getting certain instances to load. Honestly I’ve been accessing Lemmy through Chrome of late and it hasn’t been too bad.

Very much looking forward Sync for Lemmy though.

I’m trying app for a month, problems were mostly from instance network unstable and all, at some point only PWA was ok.

Now the latest Jerboa is stable and pretty nice, in list mode. Connect is updated every day with new features and bug fixes.

I’m waiting for Sync.

Flyspeck , in Best Lemmy client for Android?

I concur with all of the wefwef and Thunder app suggestions.

Using liftoff, seems ok so far. Was getting random crashes with connect, however, connect is pretty comfortable coming from RIF

scrchngwsl , in did chrome change how you install pwas?

I don’t use Chrome but Firefox, and PWAs are just really inconsistent. I think it’s probably an Android/OS/home screen thing rather than Chrome specifically.
