There have been multiple accounts created with the sole purpose of posting advertisement posts or replies containing unsolicited advertising.
Accounts which solely post advertisements, or persistently post them may be terminated.

Looking at Fedidb.org the Fediverse Network Statistics, I'm seeing about 98,000 Active users as of the 27th. That's at least 50k new users this month. Welcome to Lemmy, fellow migrants!
Just realized that the other day....
We reach a new low every day...
This video shows that Reddit refused to delete all comments and posts of its users when they close their account via a CCPA / GDPR request.
(Please keep in mind this is something I've written in regards to all of these various social platforms, not just kbin, mastodon, lemmy, etc)...
I think most of us who moved here from Reddit are enjoying our time here on kbin.social. We've left a lot of the riff-raff behind us and made new friends with intelligent, thoughtful members of kbin, Lemmy, Mastodon, etc.....
Seeing a lot of hate and schadenfreude over spez and what he's doing with Reddit....

Like many other subreddits, r/Finland is allowing its users to vote for whether or not they should a) reopen as normal, b) remain closed, or c) remain in protest mode....

Let me know please, thanks." will work!! We need more voices encouraging migration!...
We toggled to 18+ and sort of let nature take its course by only enforcing TOS. I say "we" but in reality I was the only active mod on either sub, so I do feel bad for getting awkwardtheturtle banned by association (lol). After the fact got the "It’s not ok to show people NSFW content when they don’t want to see it....
Interested in getting a feel for what people may be likely to do IF reddit reverses their decision regarding API access, or reduces access fees to a reasonable level and 3rd party apps remain sustainable....
Most people aren’t even thinking of moving to reddit alternatives. Users have a lot of power in this situation. Just move your community to Lemmy or Kbin. It’s not that hard.
