That’s correct. The signal is designed to be audible to humans over radio so there’s no real encoding - either the train is able to automatically trigger the brakes upon receiving the signal or the operator has to do it manually after hearing the signal.
You don’t even need an SDR, just a 20€ portable shortwave radio and a phone that plays the sounds of the signal over the mic.
Just sounds like Russia is looking for new and inventive ways to lose. They’re already the second strongest army in Ukraine, they’re fixing to figure out if Wagner makes the Russian army the second strongest army in Russia, and now they’re continuing to prod Poland just to see what’s up.
This seems just as likely to have been some stupid prank instead of an actual russian attack. The perpetrators definitely wanted everyone to know/think that they’re russian, but it couldve been anyone.
