A real estate agent is anyone who is licensed to help people buy or sell residential or commercial property. A Realtor is a trademarked term that refers to a real estate agent who is an active member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), the largest trade association in the US.
Edit: in case anyone wants to understand, which this person doesn’t seem to, the problem with “you hate the cops yet you call them” is twofold:
A lot of us don’t call the cops. They’re useless at getting anything stopped or fixed, they tend not to care when it’s reported and often will only make your life worse. However, sometimes due to how the law and money work, sometimes we have to call them. Which leads directly into…
The cops have a monopoly on the legitimate use of force. That means that anyone trying to get justice in any other way than that sanctioned by the state will be in trouble with the state. The police’s monopopy alienates us from our own means of defending ourselves. We have to beg for scraps of justice from the table of our masters.
By making broad general assumptions and also missing the entire point? If you want to point out irony or what sounds like is better characterised as hypocrisy, it helps to actually understand the position you are criticising. Then you can critique it correctly and not just throw out banal, meaningless whataboutism, which is what you did.
I take it from your general attitude that you’re not actually curious to understand what the problem we have with the police is. Is that accurate?
I remember listening to this, six months into the pandemic, walking through the grocery store with most people masked up and staying away from others, and there were some people in there totally unmasked, looking at us. The fucking strangest feeling.
In the US the laws vary by state. In Kansas you must:
be 18 years or older
be a US citizen or legal alien (minor problem here)
have a high school diploma or equivalent
take a 60 hour class
pass the Kansas licensing exam
pass a background check
Kansas also has one of the easiest exams in the US. Other states are more strict and have more difficult tests. CA’s test has a pass rate of around 50%. Even the most strict only requires 135 hours of training, though.
I was with a #2 for 9 years until I escaped. Then when I wasn’t looking for a partner I was just meeting people and living for myself and then that’s when I met the perfect person. Approaching a year and a half and it’s such a breath of fresh air to be with someone who is on the same team.
They don’t talk about their disability but clearly have PTSD. They go on about being a sovern citizen and not having their kids have a birth certificate.
