You make it sound like only one issue will fix it. Other countries that tried to increase birth rate, needless to say mostly for nationalistic/racist reasons have so far failed. Look e.g. at Hungary. They try everything but the birth rate is still declining.

There needs to be much more affordable housing and public transportation, but immigration is also inevitable in helping mitigate the effects of the aging population. And I think migration is a good, normal thing to happen. Humans have been moving around all the time, otherwise we wouldn’t be spread all over the globe.

But there also needs to be an environment where people feel comfortable getting children when thinking about climate change and the future world that they’d bring the children into.

So there are many things that go hand in hand and what I read from your comment is more like migration problem must stop, build housing solution done.

An unresolved incident involving illegal Israeli settlers during the second intifada inside the occupied West Bank has nothing to do with that. Yeah that was my point. It’s not that Arab societies are like super progressive and Palestinian people are suddenly angels just because they are victims of genocide. It’s just that doing stonings is an archaic practice that doesn’t exist in the Levant. Like people might be very conservative and live in authoritarian societies, but they still live in the 21st century and they don’t want that shit.

That being said Hamas absolutely sucks, they are violent, corrupt dictators and while they currently are the biggest armed resistance against the ongoing colonization they shouldn’t have any place in a free Palestine.

Things were a mess, but the Middle East was developed, people were educated, and there was a lot of cultural developments that last until today e.g. in music. That was going on up until like the 60s, 70s when fundamentalism as a reaction to Western interference (Iran and to an extend even Saudi Arabia as ridiculous as it sounds in 2024), or Soviet invasion (Afghanistan).
