In the reporting from the heat crisis in , I haven’t yet seen texts about the role the environment itself plays in it, despite the city being notorious for its steep inequality in terms of air pollution, heat and distribution of green spaces. Has anyone come across any such texts, preferably urbanist ones?

💥 Christmas is coming and my book is coming too! This monthly post about The urban life of workers in post-Soviet Russia discusses my approach of building a discursive strategy. It explains how I was choosing epigraphs and what books and authors influenced my writing style.

Wrote a blog post about the front cover image of my forthcoming book on the lived experiences of working-class and wider deindustrialising communities in Russia's major cities. Check it out, if you are interested in , , politics and space. The book is going to be released by ManchesterUP on 16 Jan 2024. It's based on creative multi-sited ethnogaphy. From time to time, I'll be writing about it here.
