I’m currently reading the 2024 edition of the Routledge Handbook of Forensic Linguistics and I loved every chapter I’ve read so far! This is a must read for anyone interested in the latest research in the field of Forensic Linguistics.

Lots of new and interesting studies are out that unfortunately no one shares here. It’s disappointing that the bird site is still the one that most academics prefer. Anyway, here’s one of the latest studies by Weihang Huang, Akira Murakami @mrkm_a, and Jack Grieve, that sounds very promising if you’re interested in Forensic Linguistics:

Just finished reading Georgina Heydon’s book Researching Forensic Linguistics: Approaches and Applications and it was so informative and easy to read! It’s a great book for both forensic linguistic students and professionals! @academicchatter @linguistics

Corpus Linguistics has been a field that I’m very interested in lately as I find it very useful for conducting forensic linguistics studies. I still need a lot more training on the use of corpora, but here’s a great article on how corpus linguistics can be used for legal interpretation by Römer and Cunningham. @academicchatter @linguistics
