Over the past two years, I’ve collaborated with Indigiqueer artists Bangishimo and Phoenix/Jordan M. Burns on a multimedia project called Monsters. I’m doing setup today. I wrote a collection of stories about different sorts of monsters. They will be playing on loop at the Gaukel Block in Kitchener today and tomorrow from 4-8, and on Saturday from 2-9. I will also be doing live storytelling performances on Friday and Saturday at 7:00 pm. There will be a final storytelling event and Q&A with all three of us Monsters on Sunday at 5:00. Bangishimo put together a video featuring real life monsters, and Phoenix is a puppeteer who has created wonderful puppets and a puppet show.
