The first #book itself did not convince me. The world was interesting for its own #grisha systems, but the story itself and the characters felt a bit empty and cliché.
However, even the first book was enough to make me want to read the next one.
By the middle of the second book, the story and characters became more interesting. Or the suction of the story was already pulling me with it. @bookstodon#books#fantasy#spefi
📚 Just got done #reading Shadow and Bone, the first #novel in the #Grishaverse trilogy by Leigh Bardugo.
I read this after seeing the TV show and reading Six of Crows, but it was awesome to see the foundations of how the entire universe of the #Grisha started!
