Not universally great with any bright light for me.
Also. Black smeared on OLED (I use ASUS laptop) when moving windows - universal issue. And non-consistent black on LCD due to light bleed. So I haven’t prefer black black for a long time. But that’s me. Not sure about him though
Edit: Was not aware of the Torovoltos copypasta when I wrote the below.
That sounds more Greek than Russian.
"Lën Nikolaevitch Torpravi(tel)sky" would be a Russified calque of Torvalds' name, although that has at least a couple of issues with it. (1: The first word is literally "Linen". Same root, but no personal name developed from that root in Russian that I can see. 2: No-one has either surname.)
There’s an episode of Kitchen Nightmares (UK) where he fights with a French chef, each cursing in their own language. I imagine it would go something like that.
I actually like minimalist wallpapers. Drawings and photos will bother me over time as I start noticing odd details. So in this case, I would not feel the need to change it right away. But I do like variety, so I’d have to build a library of fifty minimalist wallpapers or so.
This makes me really happy to see. Desktop Linux is fucking amazing nowadays. Gnome and KDE being as excellent as they are, Flatpak massively simplifying package management for end users, and Pipewire being Pipewire have all gone a long way in making desktop Linux more easily approachable and incredibly stable. If I’m allowed to be controversial, I’d include Wayland in that list as well.
People meme on electron, and I think most of it is deserved, but it does make a lot of stuff way easier for devs, and that means more software for users. There’s a reason it’s so popular.
I installed both Sync and Infinity on the same day and I’ve mostly used Infinity since, I just don’t get the fuss about Sync, I think it’s only nostalgia from its Reddit users tbh (I used Boost for Reddit fwiw).
