Over here, I'm mostly here for ttrpg things (thus on TableToot!), but if I get myself together and can branch out, there will be archaeology and nature and various dead/fossil things. Also videogames, but those might just be me grumping, lol.

Definitely tabletop stuff, though. "OSR", 2e AD&D, the "basic" D&Ds, and my own ramblings, mostly, but I'll poke everything from Cairn to Exalted to Traveller.

I'm not making much headway in any of these because Reasons[tm], mostly work reasons ("Labour Day long weekend", HA), but I'm trying to peck variously at

  • novelization of Fire Emblem: Genealogy Of The Holy War
  • two Robotech trade paperbacks
  • Shadowrun 2e corebook + a few supplements (mostly The Grimoire and Awakenings)

I've just finished teaching a class on Anthropology of Food in Japan. How I like this topic, wow... it's really, really cool, being able to think about culture through the meals we eat, food production and consumption systems. As the anthropological motto says, food is good not only for eating, but also for thinking. @anthropology
