I mean some of them are less good than others, and the economies on them vary. Most decent ones these days though use a points system where you earn points based on how long you’ve seeded torrents. You use points to purchase upload credit which artificially raises your ratio. Not all of them require you to have accounts on other trackers, some of them have an interview process that after you’ve passed you can create an account, I’m not sure if this is what you mean by “open/effectively open”. These are still private trackers, and from them you can get access to invite only trackers. There’s several avenues you can take to get onto different private trackers, it’s not hard it just takes time (and seeding!)

If you really want things removed from your credit report there are easier ways. You can send creditors letters asking for them to validate the debt and their legal right to collect the debt, sent certified mail. The entire point is to make it as burdensome as possible, and they legally have to respond to these requests or give up trying to collect the debt. There’s guides online and you can have chatgpt write the letters for you citing the relevant laws, it’s pretty easy. I’ve done it for some debts that I disagreed with their validity and had them removed

It was over some bullshit fees that Viasat (terrible ISP) charged my account after I cancelled, they sent it to collections. It wasn’t even over cancelling the contract, I paid the early termination fees. It was for not returning part of the dish they installed on the roof, that they didn’t tell me I had to return until months after I moved and no longer had access to the property. But around that time I happened to have read about writing letters to remove bad marks from your credit history, so I gave it a whirl. I had an AI write the letter and then sent it certified mail to the collections company.

I live on a farm, an hour from town. The sheriff response time is about 45 minutes usually. Meth heads roam around looking for stuff to steal. There’s also wild dogs, Coyotes, and also wild pigs that will kill you given the opportunity. I truly hope that I’m never in a position where I have to take a human life. But having a gun is a necessity out here, even if you only have to fire a warning shot to get the crackheads to scatter. I also hunt, not even just for sport, game meat is a not inconsequential portion of our food supply. Wild pigs are a very real concern, they will gore you before you can even blink, and they can run at close to 40 MPH.
