Everything I’ve read lately leans toward using Magisk for rooting (still).
It requires extracting the boot image from the ROM zip (on your pc), copying it to the phone, modifying it with Magisk, copying it back to your pc, then flashing it using ADB.
Does this process not work with your phone (it’s possible it doesn’t)?
